Description:
The Program Administrator Toolkit (PAT) is a user-friendly reference manual that covers all aspects of implementing and managing a community-based adult ESOL class or program.


As part of MCAEL’s ongoing mission to support quality learner-oriented instruction, the Toolkit draws on the expertise of MCAEL staff, partners and practitioners in the field to provide a practical guidebook for community-based adult ESOL programs.  Presented in a Q&A format, each of the 22 chapter includes guidance, suggested resources, and practical examples on such topics as: determining the location and timing of classes, recruiting and retaining both learners and instructors, selection of teaching materials, assessment for learner placement as well as learner gains, transition services, data management and volunteer management.
