 MCAEL supports and improves the delivery of quality English instruction English classes for thousands of adults who want to learn English.

In Montgomery County the network of English programs is diverse. The nature of the field is that some programs are small, immigrant-run, community-based programs, while others are more developed adult education organizations. Thus, the program support that is required is diverse and evolving as new classes and programs are born, and as needs and resources develop.  MCAEL supports this work through capacity building, professional development, grant and award making, and pedagogical tools based in best industry practices.
