Identity Inc., a non-profit community-based organization serving youth and their families, is seeking a Bilingual ESOL Instructor for our young adult students. Classes are held at the Youth Opportunity Centers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We need an instructor to provide up to 8 hours weekly, (beginning Feb 3rd, hours vary, Tuesday through Friday from 2-6 pm). Hourly rate commensurate with experience. The Bilingual ESOL Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering ESOL instruction/ tutoring with the goal of helping youth pass from beginner level to intermediate to higher level. This is a professional part-time position with opportunities to innovate, grow and advance.
The ESOL program is a key element of Workforce 2020, Identity’s workforce development program for disconnected youth up to age 25. Our goal is to support these young people in their transition to adulthood, helping them move closer to acquiring the skills and experiences necessary to secure steady employment and be on a path toward self-sufficiency. All of our work is grounded in the Positive Youth Development model, supported by intensive family case management and counseling.
