Special Coalition Presentation

In December MCAEL had its' semi-annual visit to the County Council Education Committee. The coalition was asked to report on the need for ESL in Montgomery County and how the coalition and its' partners are meeting that need.

This needs assessment presents opportunities for MCAEL and providers to think about focusing future outreach and service delivery in some new geographical areas and potentially in new ways and we want to engage you in thinking about these opportunities.

The presentation was the culmination of 6 months of work with a steering committee and the County Stat Office to layer census data with MCAEL coalition data.  We would now like to share the presentation with our coalition.

Join us on Thursday, January 21 from 4:00pm-5:30pm at MCAEL offices

MCAEL is very excited to present this new tool which will allow us to better support our providers and learners with excellent data analysis. Our collective work allows us to support quality programming, set strategic goals and focus on English literacy gaps in the county. We hope to see you there!

Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 19 to Kelly Johnson at kjohnson@mcael.org.

"It is important to learners because they will be able to actively participate in the community as well as enhance their personal image and confidence."
