DC Public Library Adult Literacy Book Donation open to Montgomery County

The Adult Literacy Resource Center at the DC Public Library is partnering with Solas Nua (a nonprofit which works to support Irish Arts in the District) and the DC Library Renaissance Project to hold a book giveaway on several days next month. Solas Nua is holding its annual book day on September 17th, and they will be giving away books in English appropriate for adult learners written by prominent Irish authors. Books will be available for members of our adult learning community both on Book Day, Monday September 17, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and alternately on Saturday, September  22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  the Adult Literacy Resource Center which is in Room 300 of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G St. N.W., Washington D.C.

Please click here to read the letter and copy and fill out the form on the second page if your program would like to participate and tell us how many books you might need. Email the form or to us at dclrc@yahoo.com

I apologize for any cross-posts.
